A 13-year-old boy has disappeared without a trace for a week. Nobody knows where he was or what drove him to do it. His mother and teachers speculate that it may have something to do with the death of his father, while confronted with existential questions that change their whole view of life.

Angela Schanelec (1962) is a German actress, film director and screenwriter. She studied at the Berlin Film and Television Academy and comprised the so-called first wave of the Berlin School. Schanelec has written and directed features and contributed segments to the anthology films such as Bridges of Sarajevo and Germany 09: 13 Short Films about the State of the Nation. She is also known for films such as The Dreamed Path, My Sister's Good Fortune and Marseille. Schanelec's films have premiered at numerous renowned film festivals, including the Cannes Film Festival, the Berlin International Film Festival and the Toronto International Film Festival. The film I Was At Home, But from 2019 was nominated for the Golden Berlin Bear for Best Film.
