Martin Turk was born in 1978 in Trieste. He graduated in film directing in 2004 from the Ljubljana Academy for Theatre, Radio, Film and Television AGRFT. He made several short films that were screened all around the world and won several prizes.
In 2009 he was selected for the 18th session of the Cannes Cinéfondation residency, and in 2012 he made his first feature-length film, Feed Me With Your Words.
