GREEN BOOK

Based on a true story, the film follows a streetwise but academically dim Italian-American bouncer who becomes the driver of an African-American classical pianist on a tour of venues through the 1960s American South. As the disparate pair witness and endure America's appalling injustices on the road, they find a newfound respect for each other's talents and heart to face them together. In doing so, they would nurture a friendship and understanding that would change both their lives.

Peter John Farrelly (1956) is an American film director, screenwriter, producer and novelist. Along with his brother Bobby, the Farrelly brother sare mostly famous for directing and producing quirky, slightly offensive comedy and romantic comedy films such as Dumb and Dumber, Shallow Hal, Me, Myself and Irene, There's Something About Mary and the 2007 remake of The Heartbreak Kid (2007).

On his own, Peter Farrelly directed Green Book, which won the Audience Award at the Toronto Film Festival in 2018 and Golden Globes in three categories (Best Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy, Best Screenplay - Motion Picture, and Best Supporting Actor - Motion Picture) in 2019.
