Cristina Gallego graduated from the Grancolombiano Polytechnic where she studied Advertising and Marketing, and later graduated in 2003 from the National University of Colombia where she studied Film and Television. She has been working as a producer of educational and cultural television. In the academic environment she has also worked as a teacher at the Universidad del Magdalena. In 1998 she founded the film production company Ciudad Lunar Producciones together with her husband, the film director Ciro Guerra.
Ciro Guerra (1981) is a Colombian film director and screenwriter. He made his first film Wandering Shadows in 2004. His next film The Wind Journeys competed in the Un Certain Regard section at the 2009 Cannes Film Festival.
You feel for these fathers, mothers and children as they endure their mythic rise and fall, but the ruthless, eternal cycle of violence begetting violence leaves no room for sentimentality.
