Joan Castleman is a highly intelligent woman who has been a devoted wife and mother, while her husband Joe taps their personal lives to write novel after novel. Björn Lennart Runge (1961) is a Swedish director, screenwriter, playwright and writer. He studied directing at Drama Institute in Stockholm. He has shot a number of short films and TV productions. Having directed the features Harry och Sonja (Harry & Sonja) in 1996 and Raymond-sju resor värre in 1999, he landed the Blue Angel Award for Best European Film at Berlin International Film Festival for his third film Daybreak in 2004 and competed at the Karlovy Vary Festival with his next work, Mouth to Mouth in 2006. In 2011 he competed at the San Sebastian Festival with Happy End, which won the Best Cinematography Award. Runge directed The Wife in 2017, which received an Oscar nomination as well as the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress Glenn Close.
